LiMnO2 Batteries (3V / 9V)

LiMnO2 batteries are primary lithium cells built around lithium manganese dioxide chemistry, offered at 3V and 9V. At category level, the line covers sizes from AAA through 1/2AA, 2/3AA, A, C and D up to 9V formats, with nominal capacity from 600 to 12,000 mAh, energy density up to 400 Wh/kg, shelf life of up to 10 years, self-discharge of less than 1 percent per year at 20 degrees Celsius, and an operating temperature range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. LiMnO2 cells are the workhorse of the CR cylindrical range, including the widely used CR123A size. They are used in security equipment, cameras and imaging accessories, medical devices, alarm systems, smoke detectors and industrial instruments — anywhere a compact 3V cell with a long shelf life is needed. Because the range spans small cells such as CR2 up to large cells such as CR34615 at 12,000 mAh, the same chemistry can serve a handheld device and a long-life industrial installation.
