LiFeS2 Batteries (1.5V)

LiFeS2 batteries are 1.5V primary lithium cells, offered in the two everyday sizes: FR6 (AA) and FR03 (AAA). Because they deliver 1.5V, they fit devices designed for alkaline AA and AAA cells while offering the longer shelf life and wider temperature tolerance of a lithium cell. At category level, the line is stated to have a shelf life of up to 10 years and an operating temperature range from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius.

The practical case for a 1.5V lithium cell is the device that must work on demand after long storage: remote controls, torches, cameras, toys, clocks, wireless mice and keyboards, and portable medical devices. A cell that still delivers full voltage after years in a drawer is worth more than a cheaper cell that has faded. The two models differ only in size and capacity, which is why this category has two model pages rather than a large matrix.

A note on capacity figures: the source catalogue gives two different capacity figures for each of these models — a product-title figure and a category-page typical figure. This site reports both as a range (about 2,900 to 3,000 mAh for FR6, about 1,200 to 1,250 mAh for FR03) and does not choose one figure as the single value. The exact figure should be confirmed against the final datasheet before ordering.
